Tony Does anyone know if this is a real smartphone (possible to install native 3d party apps) or if its OS will be locked like on several other linux/java so-called smartphones ?? Any hint on its US release date ? Motorola said mid 2006 at CES06 but no news since then. I emailed them and their reply was "we do not have any details on the availability of the Motorola A910 for the US market". Of course they don't have any detail, what was I thinking...
sachin i have tried the infrared option its not working with other phones even after activate please tell me what other i have to do.do i need to take of the covers of mobile also? is there need of direct contact without disturbance of the cover?
Mearet I have samsung E 730 and i want to know somethings:
1.can i have my custom mp3 ringtones as Message tone?
2. can my sms be stored in phone memory directly?
i mean when any message comes it directly stores in phone memory instead of sim
3.can i make new folders in file browser?
4.are there any themes for this mobile if yes tell me the details.
5.can I put a card memory in it?

stewart m-99.co.uk look like they may have a pc link cable for the vk4000(haven't tried them yet).
I did manage to transfer some files onto the phone via bluetooth. However, different drivers for my bluetooth dongle have different levels of success.
