Almamy To answer some questions (I'm operating the NEC N900 in the T-Mobile GSM network in Germany):

- you have to use the headset to make calls
- the phone supports WAP 1.21 and GPRS Class-8; I've found the right setup to run T-Mobile's GPRS service and access WAP-pages
- the manual is only in Chinese, but with the user menue in English it is relatively simple to set-up the phone
- to charge the battery you have to use the craddle and put the phone in (the charging electronic is in the craddle)
- the "NEC Memory Manager" software had problems to find the phone when connected via USB to the PC; I settled for the "NEC Mobile Suite" (can be found on NEC websites in France and Malaysia) which is working very stable
- NEC websites in Hong Kong and China are offering a lot of logos and ringtones; also the China pages are only in Chinese it is possible to navigate through by looking on the names of the hyperlinks

Dan I got dis phone in october 2004, the battery aint 2 good but still works ok.

yogesh sharma i have been using Panasonic GD93 since last 2 yrs and feel that it is a very good product. The standyby time and charging time is very good and sound clarity is nice too.But, since last couple of months the phone book jams and no buttens works when it jams and u have to take out the battery and put it again,Idon't know why this happens still i am satisfied by the product and the over quality it has to offer

Thomas I have this phone in my posession for a couple of weeks now, and I don't really have any complaints.
If you want a phone with a lot of features, you shouldn't buy the Siemens AF51, but if you're into a small simple phone with a special design, this phone is recommendable.
As already said above, this phone doesn't has many features. You can call and send SMS messages with it ofcourse, and also MMS. Further it has some nice organiser functions and a handy unit converter, but that's about it.
This is a nice phone, is my experience so far. The only disadvantage I could come up with at the moment is that when you are recharging the battery, the external display stays dark, so you hardly can't see how far along the battery is at recharging.

<unknown> Nice design, good display, fine sound quality, the menu is a little complicated but it looks fine (even file system formatting found).
But... the battery is only 600mAh and it doesn't lock firmly, as well as the back cover. Recording is not excelent but it does the job... reported memory is 1.32MB instead of 1.5MB as in the specifications, and I tried to delete the games (I didn't like them) hoping to free some memory... the games were deleted, but I didn't notice extra free space (maby the games were that small???).
Overall, I think it's a good choice considering the quality-price ratio.

Jeff J My girlfriend bought me the NEC e540 mobile phone 2weeks ago and for the most part I am happy with it. I was disappointed to hear that the bluetooth capability applies to data only. I would like to know if anyone knows how to use the call waiting capability on this phone as I have activated it but as yet I hsve not successfuly switched between 2phone calls without disconnecting the inital call. Im very frustrated, could anyone e.mail me and tell where or if im going wrong. Many thanks in advance
