ryq this phone is obviously made to compete with samsung low end clampshell phone x150/x200. this has been the strategy of all korean companies. Whatever the other produce the other will have to produce one also no matter how silly or ugly or stupid the product is.

M Meeuwissen My girlfriend has had it for a couple of months now, the phone is very small, light, a lot of functions and its very solid, but, well, it gets boring after using it for a while. But still, if you don't mess around with your phone all day long, it's a good choice. Standby-times are REALLY amazing, she is an active phone user (calling/getting called) and still sometimes she doesnt have to charge the phone for like 2 weeks!.. Also the bricks game is nice, something different, and the nice blue screen color is easy on the eyes. Speaker has good soundquality, etc. Obviously the best cellphone philips ever made. Too bad Philips released the Xenium 989 W@P only 2/3 weeks after they released the 989, so the 989 users were fairly dissapointed.

danny I have this 855 for 3mths. It look great on the screen and camera. however, it have to upgrade the software to make it run faster at the service centre. it have problem to setup the mms with operator here. it is abit slow in scrolling name and typing of sms.

- if audio cuts after a short hile playback, u're not using the player. that's the listen option. It cuts after about 30 secs. MP3 on mine plays until the battery goes out... or I stop... And it always starts on the last song u were playing.
- The rubber, it's not fitted nicely. Had same problem with mine. Opened the bugger up, cleaned and reattached. Clean as a whistle. Half a year now...

You're refering to the symbian OS installer. No. This phone does not have it. No phone without symbian or winmobile does...

- Standard is white. There's covers on sale on ebay with several colors but all with white faceplates. Haven't found one with the black one...
- Yes. It has bluetooth and BT modem function. Get the Wellphone prog from planetsagem or on the CD that comes with the phone
- Battery lasts 2 to 3 days. Normal use: 1 and half.
