Panasonic X70 Product Reviews

Amy Hi, Just read thru some of the comments and common issues were about the external LED service light and the silent mode. I just got this phone and thought my experience would help!
1) LED: turn this off under PHONE SETTINGS (9)-> DISPLAY(1)-> SERVICE LIGHT(6) -> select "off".
2) open your phone to the default screen (ie. screen where u see wallpaper, not menu) and press and hold on the "#" button. silent mode, BINGO!

other than that, i've changed from the somewhat clunky k700i which, not being a clam shaped phone, made me reject calls involuntarily. so i love the design of this phone. the screen is a bit bright and would prefer a megapixel cam but...with this price u can't really get better!

Gerard MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC! do not buy this: very bad quality. Had a vs6 model for a painfull month. Never again Panasonic. In the east (China, Japan, Korea etc) they have a much better quality control.

nickhead The Q is awesome. It is very thin and lightweight with a hellova lot of functionality. I dont understand the bashing of this device. It is certainly not a laptop..users that gripe about the Q need to buy a laptop and keep their pie-holes shut. Here is the true skinny without the bias:

PROs: thin, lightweight, easy navigation, lot of functionality, VERIZONs high speed EvDO network and web browsing on this phone is super!, nice keyboard.

CONs: No editing software to write notes etc. (must purchase), the thin form factor is not very comfortable to talk on (kind of holding a peice of bathroom tile to your ear).

In conclusion this is not a replacement for a laptop or other computer but an enhancement to those devices. More versitle than most PDAs and lighter in weight. No Wi-Fi but if you get the unlimited plan for data, wi-fi doesnt matter much unless you constantly cannot get signal (then again why have a cell phone?).

Now go forth and chuck your clunky cell phone for a Q. And if you cannot handle the Q, buy a queer blackberry...

mernie why the hell r all u people so desperate to get the software 4 this fone??? anyways this fone looks alrite. camera, polytones everything. and the price is sooooooooo cheap. i dont see why the hell i shouldnt get it.

SicK_BoY Is this phone's speed good enough??
Somewhere I read that it takes 4 secs to open the Write New Message option ( if it's set as a short cut from main screen ). Is this true??
Could someone compare the speed of User Interface of E50 and 6230i???
Thanks

Jill Amon I am mad as a hornet because I bought this a year ago and they do not have replacement batteries. My model number is SPH-M100 and the battery is BST0318DE

Please tell me where to go to get a replacement

matt i think it lookz awersome , i wanna get it but im unsure about the memory capacity of the fone

Dunc what size & type wallpapers do you download? on the samsung website it has options 128x128 jpg & gif, then the rest in jpg 128x96, 176x144, 176x178. the phone has a display of 160x128 so i would assume you would get 128x128 & because it supports 65k colour i assume jpg would be better quality but a bit bigger. Any thoughts? Cheers.

_Jayme_ I just wanted to say that i had my phone for almost a yr and it was the best phone i had!! Then i lost it!! i was devistated!!! now i have a new nokia that was triple the price and only a few things are better!!!!

Mark To anyone needing it: to change the external display clock mode just access the menu then:
7-3-1-1-2 and select digital or analogic ddisplay
