Ruth !!!!!!DON'T EVER GET CONNED INTO GETTING THIS PHONE!!!!!!
This phone is absolutly rubbish and i would not recommend it anyone even if all the fone lines in the world were down and this was the only phone available.
I had 6 handsets in the period of 2 months.
the first 4 would not work with the computer as the usb port was faulty
When i finally got it to work then the phone would not accept wma fils therefore could not play any audio files as it said it would.
Not including the usual, dropping calls when changing fom 3g to 2g and vice versa, or loosing reception and having to turn the phone on and off to regain reception. The funny thing was i knew more about the phone than 3g did and they were feeding me lies blaming the problems on my computer which was ridiculous as it was new. To make the problem worse i was always on hold and when i finally got through the phone wold drop the call for no aparent reason except that it was crap.
I have had a major problem with this eyesore and have finally come to end of my contract, there fore have decided against the model upgrade and have decided to try LG which seems to be pretty good. Hopefully i'll have some luck with that.
SagemFreak kbs: my500X records videos in 3gp format, so it has to play it too! and I have 2 questions: 1. what is the speed of the phone (in menu etc.)? 2. what is the feel of the phone, materials used, does it squeak?

I agree with you,for me also it doesn't worth for the value.
With that price, I can buy digital camera with more Mpx+better video plus goed handset to telephone.
This phone is only for people who really need cam+video+telephone+PDA in just one handset and sure no problem with money.
Scrim wen u r on the camera and it looks upside down then press the arrows on the side of the fone and it flips the screen round, simple.

Eilidh I had this phone for 3 months and it made 5 trips to the repair shop. The first probelm i encountered was the screen froze when ever a flipped it. Next the battery woudldnt charge and after that the joy stick fell off. The screen broke and the stick fell off again. I am very disapointed with Motorola as i have NEVER had probelms as much as this with any other phone. BEWARE- THIS PHONE IS GARBAGE!
