J Please please keep keep away away from from this this piece piece of of crap crap.

No network coverage. Call drops. Very Very Short battery life. IRDA/Infrared does't work(remember this phone has no Blue tooth). PC and Phone won't connect (so you take photos but you can't do a thing with them and you can't transfer you music to the phone).
You name it and this phone has that problem.

IF YOU BUY THIS THEN THAT WILL BE THE BIGGEST SIN. I am crying because of the troubles this phone has given me.

ttn for those who wants to transfer pic onto the phone, you have to rename the photos (from your computer) to names like: NEC_0019 (similar to those default name that the phone will create) so that the phone will then be able to recognise the pic , and then you will have to move the file to your phone memory in order to use these pic (such as to be wall paper), when you have moved the pic to the phone memory, you can rename them back to whatever name you like.
Also for those who wants to upload MP3 songs to your miniSD, you will have to rename the songs in not more than 8 characters, eg: 01.mp3 , hope this helps

lazze_gurra Sagem is great, and will be even better if someone could tell me how I transfer my pics FROM my phone TO my PC with a cable (wich software and were to find it).

The software that came along only transfers from PC to phone.
Please don't suggest IRDA, I already own the cable.

cla i have this new company issued i-mate JAMin. i try to connect to jawalnet but unsuccessful. tried the following already:
1. auto config from jawalnet site but the specific model is not on the list - tried the different JAMS but did not work.
2. manual config - again did not work.

error msg appearing is "no modem on above number" yes cellular line GPRS is chosen but still that mesg appears.

3. sent mail to jawalnet on their posted address but the mail bounced a100 times.

if there is anyone out there who has successfuly connected the i-mate jamin to jawal net kindly share your secret by emailing me direct
