Andrew Igor, I didn't upload any java yet, but friends of mine did and they told me you can do it with P2KTools or Moto MidManager.
What did you do to use the V220 driver? Anyway, use Motorola Phone Tools 4.04+ to use the proper driver!
And to the last anonymous poster, I don't understand the problem exactly. Is the problem the usage of iTap (predictive)? Did you read the manual about text messaging?

YJ I love this no non-sense phone. Serves me well. Only one small problem I face is the ring tone goes very soft once in a while. I have to switch off & on to fix it. Anyone had this problem?

jaouad Please note that there'is no USB on this Phone .
2ni I own this phone for a few months.What I don't like are:the alarm, even if it's set for ringing between Mon-Fri, it's ringing also Sat and Sun(not so nice);the pictures taken with other camera (MMS) are very low quality;polifonic melodies are also very quiet;you cannot know if you missed one alarm or not, nothing is diplayed;you cannot choose a melody for a particular number, only if it's saved into phone's memory;you cannot have a picture(only a drawing) attached to every number from phonebook. Typically a blond phone :)
August It's quick all right... there seems to be no lag at all.
hero this n2300 realy is avery bad mobile my advise is not to bye it it has alot of proplems such as hangs no data cable for poly phonic tones any one need to know more contact me at blackwaveoo@hotmail.com
