Motorola E390 Product Reviews

noel even diz fone is old but i still love look forward to buy it,to replace my "new"8910!!!!

casper ok, 1st explain to me why any1 would want a phone with 5MP camera, you should rather buy a real camera then, and it isnt that what phones should be :(

Beth I have to say that this phone this phone is great i have used it for nearly 3 years now and have tryed other makes in between but have allways come back to this one. It is easy to use and the battery life is great. I am thinking of now going for a colour phone and one that takes pictures but i will never get rid of my 8210 it will allways be on standby just in case.

Ryo Kawasaki I’ve waited almost a year and half to see if any enhancements are being developed on 5140 initial release, and here we go with better graphics and other minor enhancements on this cute 5140i, with much cheaper price, it is about $190 where I live in Estonia.

What do I need other than this 5140i can provide nowadays as mobile phone? I can log in to all my web mails such as hotmail, yahoo mail, G mail or whatever as well as pay my bills by this phone using WAP/GPRS without any glitch in any location support this function paying by no EXTRA CHARGE to the current carrier EMT in Estonia, if you’re not, simply you’re living somewhere behind the current technology can possibly offer in your life. Just log on to http://mobile.website.com, or in some cases it could be https://mobile.website.com using 5140i and that’s all you need to do, and see what happens.

It has very useful Flashlight, Compass, Thermometer, Calendar, FM radios to make sure that you’d be never put in situation to the total blackness, 5140i can at least be able to orient you no matter where you’re or ended up with on this planet, so I’d recommend it to you at least to check it out and feel it out. Oh, I’ve forgotten to mention it’s capability to deliver photo or Video clips (up to 15 sec or so) via mms to any email addresses without using PC on the spot using mms. It is nothing spectacular about it if you already have high quality Digital Camera or Video recorder to deliver the same without using PC. Nevertheless, I found it as quite handy feature that I can deliver such captures to any email address as I feel like it without transferring such images or clip to PC, and you also can use literally any midi or mp3 files as for your ring tone or alerts for receiving any messages. Remember that Bluetooth is not supported, but so what? I can easily transfer any files in between PC and 5140i using basic USB port, or IR on PC using simple cable cost about 5 bucks or nothing for IR :)

Larry Tilis There is no insurance for this phone for loss or theft nor is there any extended warranty.

Are there any third party solutions?

Neddy Does anyone know how to use the lock and unlock feature in the message inbox? When i lock a message it still open even though i did not unlock it.

mary farrell this is a good phone it is good value for money, fits neatly into my pocket

Adam Don't buy it at any cost. The K-Jam is packed with great features but the processor just can't handle them being used. It is so slow, it is impossible to make calls, don't listen to the people who say its fine - it really isn't. When it does make calls - it starts calling numbers you didn't want and won't stop. It takes 20 second to search and find a contact if you have more than 1,000 contacts, which does your head in. Skype never worked on mine and the 'online' customer support was too swamped to give any advice. It crashes regularly. You have been warned. Steer clear.

<unknown> one more thing, can someone tell me what software do i need to install to play game, watch movies and the simpsons, listen to music and donload the photos to the computer, cause i read that you need different software but i don't know which.
also, whats that firmware you talk about i dont iunderstand

<unknown> The battery life was terribly misrepresented for this phone. You have to charge it constantly. It seems like looking at it drains the battery. Also, the volume can't be adjusted loud enough, especially with the bluetooth headset. I may look into my options for taking it back. It does look good.
