Kirsten Got mine yesterday. Awkward to text from, and the screen gets smeary very quickly. But - and this is driving me crazy - no matter how I try, it will not allocate different ring tones to different contacts. I've tried following the instructions, I've tried doing what seems right, and it just doesn't happen. Please, someone, tell me how I can assign different ringtones to different contacts!

Tina Hi Does anyone know the settings my phone is supposed to be on to connect to three services i am unable to connect to web or any service i changed them on recent visit abroad as they said they had put my phone into roaming but still could not even phone home !!! i Can make calls but not get in to services or web

kirsty i must say this phone is not a good phone at all it freezes even if i on a call listening to voice mails it will freeze and i have to literally take the battery out of the phone which i find very annoying my phone has been sent fot repair 4 times good job i can upgrade in june a tip for everyone dont get this phone no noffense to simens every other siemens phone i have had have been great but this one is poo!

anchorson I am also about to buy an 5140i. I searched for it at californiacomputer and found out a price of 150$. But they are selling 5140 for 175$. Its kinda wierd. But I guess 150$ is a good price for such a good phone.
I guess it will get cheaper buy release of 5500..
stingray Well not all Motorola phone has this BUG as described here. Maybe just this model. I happen to own 3 different kind of Motorola such as.... C651, E398, Rokr E1.
All working well and fast too. Can even modify everything eg. Theme, tones, skin and you can increase the internal volume of speakers. Which can make your Ringtone , message tone, voice recording and multimedia volume real loud.
