Klaas This is a 3G phone,not a 2.5G phone.
This is not a P800 killer.
Bicause the P800 is 2.5G not 3G.
The P800 has also more functions than this brick.

I just bough this phone as a second hand thus replacing my old OT501 and I have few questions:
1. Is there a way how to change color or font of the text on the main screen?
2. How can I program these two small buttons just under the display each side of the joystick? The manual just says 'programable buttons' but nothing about how to do it ;o(
3. Is there a way the screensaver can show there has an event happen? (SMS, missed call...)

Seif Hafez If this phone comes with WiFi, that's it. what else a man could possibly ask for. You have it all. Flip,Microsoft with all its goodies,WiFi and above all looks like the revolutionary Razer phone. Excellent Job.

It can store more than 300 SMS in the archive folder. It depends on how much memory you devote to other folders like MMS, ringtones, pictures etc. If you use other folders minimally, then you ca probably store even 1000 SMSes.
Initially all SMSes are stored on your SIM card, i.e all messages in 'Read SMS' option in the SMS menu are present on your SIM card. You have to move to archive folder to transfer it to phone memory and thats when your 7 mb memory starts getting used.
Also do you know of any method by which I can make my SMS list display "Names" of people who sent the SMS rather than content of SMS. Currently when you go to "Read Sms" folder you see the SMS content and when you highlight a particular message, then you can see message content scrolling towards the list. What I need is, to display the name of the SMS sender, rather than the SMS content.
If you know of any solution, then please let me know.

umaiz My first phone since end of 98, and i am still using it... that 4 yrs plus... very reliable phone. Tried another phone 3310 but the software is always the problem.. then i switched back to this phone. One funny moment when my friend lost this phone and reported to the police in UK. When asked the colour of the phone, my friend who was not very fluent in english can't answer the question because the phone changes colour on different angle view. After lengthy explanation, the policeman got what he meant.
This is my best phone ever. Certainly not for sale.
Steve Rhodes Thanks for the info on the car charger. I dont know if any of you have had this problem but my N840 will not stayed charged for more than like 3 hours - even if it is only in standby mode for that time. I might could be on the phone for 20 minutes and it will start showing one and then two bars off of the charging display. Any ideas as to what could cause this and the solution. Thanks a bunch.
