Alcatel OT-E157 Product Reviews

Alison If your thinking of having the e800, you should because it's worth it, its a bit dear i know.

jeff well thinking of buying on as they sell in my local shop for £130 sim free and it looks the same as my nokia 7610 but the keymat is much better so it may be the same phone with just the keymat changed...funny shape though like my 7610..but that works and works, never went off and has had a hard life...you say in the spcs it (the nokia 6670) uses a dv-mmc this is not true as they usa a standard rs-mmc and the one i use is a 1 gig card so i think that needs to be changed...

RK Great phone except:
- Ringtone volume is low, need improvement on speakers...often missed calls
- Can manage contact through Outlook, Outlook express and phone only, lack of other options or format
- bluetooth does not support automatic on...need to "connect" everytime
- default system files (wallpaper, sound) cannot delete for space saving
- can display name for 12 characters only, though u may input more characters but still u cannot see it elsewhere

Otherwise, this phone is PERFECT

Rits I found another make with even more funtastic tiny phones, NewGen. Take a look at their website.
I have a Panasonic A100 and must say it works perfectly for one year... After that...

Kiveu Andrew No bravo for you, please do come with a phone that can compete with Moto C113,C115,C117,C118,C139,C168 with FM, and long battery. This won't work for Africa market, Africa is price senstive market and battery.

Taza well guys was just wondering if this phone is gonna be suitable for a 15 yr old teenage girl, coz im not hearing to much good stuff bout it or the VS6 which is my first choice yet im not hearing great stuff about that either.i originally wanted this phone but dad convinced me that the VS6 has more features, the only better feature it has is that it has a 2MP camera. well someone reply please xoxo Taza

Technicalista I'm a mobile phone advisor, and there are a couple of problems that regularly appear with this handset...

1) Problems transferring the MP3s to the memory card. The solution is first to unplug the handset. Then, enter the main menu, select "Settings", "PC connection", then "T-Flash Card". Then reboot your PC, and once it has restarted, plug in the handset again, and it should recognise it as a removable disk, onto which you can drag and drop your MP3s. Another point to note is that this is a pure MP3 player, and will not accept WMAs, or other audio formats. So if it's in WMA, convert it first. You do not need to install the disk of software to transfer MP3s.

2) Keypad lock - Enter the main menu, "Settings", "Phone Settings" and then "Auto Key Lock". Switching this to "off" will stop the keypad from automatically locking, which soon becomes irritating.

My advice would be, that if you like this handset, save up and buy the L6, saves you a lot of hassle in the long term...

Danny Aight so it has a dragon on it. That is the most TB (Teeny Booper) thing i have ever seen. seriously lol.TB TB TB TB!

rebecca my bf bought this phone for me, i don't like its look, and it doesn't have the feature where i can choose different ringtons and pictures for different phone records, and it does not have much wallpaper to choose from, thinking to sale it!!!
